Chemise binding for a reprint of the Hours of Mary of Burgundy
On one of the illuminations in her book Mary is depicted during prayer, a book with a green chemise binding in her hands - of course this had to be the inspiration for our chemise binding!
The chemise of green real silk velvet is not affixed to the book here, so the tooled leather cover that will be hidden under the chemise is still visible.
